Who, Me?
I'm your local designer and developer, ready to turn your unique story into impactful designs.
Who I Am
My name is Stephanie Dirpaul. I love animals (most of all my 2 cats and dog), all things indoor plants, (new addition) rock climbing, and find it difficult to summarize myself without sounding like a dating profile.
What I Do
I'm a full time freelance designer and developer. I graduated university in 2023 and have translated my education of backend computer science to front end development and design. I also sling beverages at a local coffee shop as a way to stave off hermit status and fuel my ever-growing caffeine addiction.
Two Truths and a lie*
I got a degree in tech because I accidentally took a computer science class thinking it was an animation course and fell in love.
I have 10 years of barista experience under my belt
I adopted my first ever, and current, dog the same day I found him at the rescue
* Just kidding, its three truths. I'd never lie to you.
Why Design
I've always been a creative soul. Whether it's printmaking, finding the perfect tune, or a short obsession with motion graphics, I'm all in. My degree left me with many avenues that I could pursue (maybe too many avenues): software development, product design, UX research, the list goes on. After years of coding, I felt my creative roots leading me back to design and I found brand and website design. Being able to merge my love of web development and my desire to create has lit up my life and I couldn't imagine doing anything else.

My Core Values
curiousity
To be a designer is to be curious. The joy of openly exploring new ways of expression is unmatched and I hope to find new avenues of expression everyday.
Authenticity
As cliche as it might sound, I aim to be authentic in all aspects of life, including my professional endeavours. My goal is to always build authentic connections by bringing my true-self to every situation.
empathy
I aspire to treat everyone around my with empathy and compassion. I hope that this approach to life flows through all my interactions and impacts my work.
